The Game Keeper is a self-contained two-bedroom apartment above a pub in Skipton, North Yorkshire. You get the whole place to yourself, with ground-floor living throughout: an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a woodburner and smart TV; two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles); and a shower room. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are covered.
The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and coffee machine—so you can prepare meals as you wish. The living space opens onto a patio area with garden furniture and a private hot tub for four people. There is parking for one car on site. The property does not permit smoking.
Long Ashes Park is nearby, and the location puts you within reach of walks across the Yorkshire Dales. Skipton town centre is on your doorstep if you want to explore shops and local restaurants without leaving the property.

I honestly can't recommend The Gamekeepers Inn enough. We got married here in July 2026, and our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Throughout the entire planning process, Angela was so kind, helpful, and supportive. She always made us feel completely at ease, nothing was ever too much trouble, and she helped make the whole experience enjoyable and stress free. On the day itself, Angela, Chris, Dan, Harriet and all of the staff were incredible. Everyone was so friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day as special as possible. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. It looked beautiful on our wedding day, and every little detail was perfect. We honestly wish we could do it all over again. A huge thank you to everyone at The Gamekeepers Inn for giving us the most amazing day. We will always be grateful, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect place to get married.

My husband and I were looking forward to visiting for a meal, based on the reviews we’ve seen, but sadly disappointed. On arrival the lady who“greeted” us just said “table”, yes, “name!”. Not welcomed at all and no smiles throughout all the interactions with staff, apart from the lady who brought us drinks was friendly. The sun was shining in my eyes so we asked to move, we chose another two person table and were told it was reserved though no-one appeared in the whole time we were there. My husbands meal was fine he said, the wine nice. My risotto was disappointing, soggy, no real flavour and under done veg. When we were asked how the meal was, I said that the risotto was not good, and the lady just looked at me blank, said nothing, walked off and didn’t come back. Same lady who “greeted” us on arrival. When you pay £19 for a risotto I would expect better and not to be ignored when I’m asked how it is! Won’t be back.

Great location and looks lovely on a summers day. We had a nice meal sat outside. Food was nice but felt it was slightly overpriced. Service was outstanding.

Whilst camping nearby, we visited to have a meal. Staff were great, food was very good. The fish was one of the best I've tried. Beer went down well, and you can takeaway bottled alcohol, so we purchased a bottle of takeaway away wine😀. Also Dog friendly.
