Coverdale unfolds beneath Town Head Cottage, one of two properties backing onto Melmerby Moor in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The village sits deep in one of the prettiest of the Dales, surrounded by terrain that draws walkers, cyclists, bird-watchers and anglers year-round. Leyburn, a proper market town with independent shops and restaurants, lies five miles away; smaller shops are three miles distant. The landscape here sustains all manner of exploration, from leisurely touring to serious fell walking.
The cottage itself holds three bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping six across a double and four single beds. Downstairs, a living room with Freeview TV and an open fire sits alongside a separate dining room and a kitchen equipped for real cooking—electric cooker, oil Aga, dishwasher, everything needed to prepare proper meals rather than holiday scrambles. A shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, the family bathroom houses a bath with shower attachment. A patio and garden with furniture open onto the surrounding views; parking is on-site. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, as is the initial fuel for the fire. A cot and highchair are available. A shared outhouse with table tennis offers rainy-day entertainment. The property draws its water naturally from a spring. No smoking is permitted inside.
