About Beadnell Bay Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Beadnell Bay is run by the Camping and Caravanning Club on level ground just inland from the dunes, a couple of minutes' walk from the village and a glorious mile and a half of pale sand sweeping south towards Newton Point. The appeal is precisely that it's a straightforward site rather than a holiday park: no bar, no pool, no entertainment – just tidy pitches, heated facilities and proximity to one of Northumberland's finest beaches. The site can feel a little exposed when the wind picks up, so pitch with shelter in mind.
It takes tents, tourers and motorhomes on grass and hardstanding, many with electric hook-up, and facilities include showers, laundry, a small shop and a dog walk. Beadnell's west-facing harbour is the county's watersports hub – windsurfing, kayaking and diving all operate from the sheltered northern bay, ideal for beginners. The eighteenth-century lime kilns are worth a look, Seahouses and the Farne Islands boats lie two miles north, and Dunstanburgh Castle is a short drive south followed by a level clifftop walk from Craster. Pitches start around £18, rising in summer; book July and August well ahead.

Great location, literally just across the road from the beach, which is the campsite’s biggest selling point. It’s also reasonably priced, so good value if you’re looking for a simple base to explore the area. The main downside is the shower facilities. Everything gets wet, there’s nowhere to get dry or change comfortably, and it feels like you need to shower and get straight back to your tent. They could definitely do with improving. The campsite layout is also a bit higgledy-piggledy. The pitches feel quite cramped and there doesn’t seem to be much structure to where people are placed. Aside from those points, we couldn’t really fault it. If you’re after an affordable campsite in a fantastic location by the beach, it’s a good choice. Better shower facilities and a more organised layout would easily make it a 5-star stay.

Booked late to join our friends, so requested a joining plots, not an issue. Staff were super friendly and always busy. Toilet and shower facilities old but spotlessly clean. Great location just across from the beach. A special mention to Lenny’s Artisan Pies who are on site at the weekend. Let me start by saying that I am not a pie person, but the chicken and bacon pie was excellent with plenty of white chicken and bacon. My wife had the lamb and mint pie which was also excellent, tasty but not fatty with top notch chips. Two pies, chips and mushy peas for ~£13 was perfect for 2 of us. Superb quality and great value from two people who took great pride in what they do. Well done all!

We had a pitch with electric, a fantastic location with the campsite just across the road from the sea, the local village, and a great fish and chip van. It’s also only a 10-minute walk to Beadnell Towers and The Craster Arms, or around 15 minutes to Beadnell Bay and The Landing. The site itself was well laid out and the facilities were clean, although a little dated. They were perfectly functional for what we needed, but there were only two men’s toilet cubicles for around 160 pitches. That said, the park is planning to expand and add new facilities, which will be a great improvement. The staff were all really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a great base for exploring Beadnell and the surrounding area.

Great location with the beach across the road. Handy for sightseeing places like Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick etc. It's a big site with dense occupancy but the staff are excellent. As other reviews have stated, the shower block is dated but is kept as clean as possible. Probably the busiest and most densely packed site we've stayed on but no issues with noise overnight.
