About Bamburgh Under Canvas

Tucked into the Northumberland countryside near Bamburgh, this small adults-only site offers three fully furnished Lotus Belle tents, each kitted out with wood-burning stoves, proper beds and a dose of rustic charm. Dogs are welcome, making it an easy choice for couples exploring the coast with four-legged company. Showers, toilets and drinking water are on hand, though there's no Wi-Fi – which feels entirely in keeping with the place.

The location puts Bamburgh Castle and miles of dramatic coastline within easy reach, while the site itself strikes a balance between comfort and simplicity. It's a straightforward, well-loved base for those after something a little quieter than the usual Northumberland touring parks.

We had a fantastic stay this week. The yurts are excellent, with very comfortable beds, lovely hot showers, and a great location close to Bamburgh and Seahouses. We experienced a few thunderstorms on our first night, which actually made the stay even more memorable. Sitting inside with the stove lit while listening to the storm outside was an amazing experience. The wood-fired hot tub was a real highlight and felt like a special treat. We were the only guests on site during our two-night stay and didn't see another person the entire time, making it incredibly peaceful, relaxing, and private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Amazing 3 night stay in Number 4. Lovely hot tube, clean tent - family run business who were always helpful. We saw a stag in the next field and were bless with lovely weather. The only think I would say is some local info of ‘things to do’ ! We will be back

Just had a lovely relaxing stay - our 2nd visit. The Bell tent has everything you could possibly need, a beautiful big comfy bed, a log burning stove for cosy nights, utensils, cutlery, lamps and blankets. The owners have literally thought of everything. Love the addition of the fences for a little privacy when sat around fire pit drinking the prosecco provided by hosts. The horse box shower/toilets are spotless. Such a relaxing way to unwind and recharge. 100% recommend
