Alice Cottage is a traditional stone cottage in Embleton, a village on the Northumberland coast. The building has three bedrooms spread across two floors—a super king on the first floor, then two rooms with single beds each—and one bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. Downstairs, the living room centres on a woodburner, with a separate kitchen and dining space, and a cloakroom toilet. The cottage sleeps six and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, hob, microwave and coffee machine. Freeview Smart TVs sit in both the living room and kitchen. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are provided, and heating comes from an air source heat pump. One dog stays free; there is secure bike storage and on-road parking. The cottage is within a mile of the coast, close enough for regular beach walks but far enough inland to avoid the noise. Nearby Craster is known for its smoked fish and clifftop paths to Dunstanburgh Castle; Low Newton-by-the-Sea, a small fishing village, lies within walking distance and has pubs and local ale. Seahouses, further along the coast, runs boat trips to the Farne Islands.
