Chesterhill Old Farm
Northumberland

You arrive to find Chesterhill Old Farm arranged entirely on one floor—a converted barn at Percy Wood Holiday Park, west of Morpeth. The open-plan living space runs from kitchen through to seating area with a wood burner; the beams and windows mean it feels bright despite the rural setting. One bedroom has an ensuite, the other is zip-and-link, and there's a second bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is properly equipped to cook in, and essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen and towels come as standard.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden with patio furniture and a barbecue, parking for two cars on site, and the holiday park itself sits in countryside with distant views across the fields. A golf course lies about a mile away. The location is quiet but not remote—the A1 is only a mile east, so getting to Newcastle or the coast takes under an hour. One dog is welcome to stay free. Note that it is a no-smoking property.

We have returned from a wonderful week in Eastfield Cottage and can't recommend it highly enough. Becky and Gary, the owners are delightful helpful people and the cottage was just perfect. It has everything that you could need for a week or so away, it's very comfortable and warm, we didn't even need to light the wood burner! The animals are close at hand and love being hand fed, children would just love them. We hope to return in the not too distant future.
