Clan Young Suite is a one-bedroom apartment in a Grade II listed building on Marygate in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Originally officers' quarters, it was converted in 2021 and now offers a self-contained base for two people exploring the Northumberland border country. The property occupies two floors: living and dining space with a Smart TV on the first floor, and a bedroom with an ensuite shower room above.
The bedroom is built around a polished copper bath positioned within the room itself—a fixture that sets the tone for the whole place. A super kingsize bed faces it, paired with proper linens and towels included in your stay. Downstairs, the kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and the usual appliances to cook from scratch if you want to. Gas central heating keeps you warm, and wi-fi is available throughout. There is on-road parking outside, plus additional disc parking in a nearby car park. No smoking inside the property.
Berwick sits on the Scottish border, within easy reach of both Bamburgh Castle and the Goswick beaches to the south. The Scottish Borders themselves lie minutes away by car, while Edinburgh and Newcastle are each about an hour distant by road or rail. The town centre with the Town Hall is just across the way, and James Ford & Son is nearby for provisions.

Out of this world apartment. Decor to die for and everything you need. The bath is superb and a fantastic addition. Loved every minute. Same the weather was so nice and we didn't stay in longer.

Just returned from a few days staying in this AMAZING apartment. Whoever put it together needs a round of applause. It is simply stunning inside. The wee quirky bits and bobs made it unique and unlike anywhere I have ever stayed. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. Didn't make use of the copper bath but it was a lovely feature in the bedroom. The main bathroom was gorgeous and fitted out with high quality products. My only gripe was not being able to park straight outside but the owners left a parking pass for anyone staying and a list of streets nearby where you could park the car. It wasn't any bother at all. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. It was 5 star luxury. Well done. We loved it...

Without doubt my favourite apartment I have ever stayed at. This is the perfect weekend getaway, A Luxurious Apartment in the heart of the Border Town (Berwick). I’ve been privileged enough to stay at this gorgeous apartment and it only gets more exiting when you walk in to discover the history this building has with the The Reiver Families of the Borders linking back from the 1500-1700. The full apartment was immaculate top to bottom & we thought the welcome pack was a great touch, overall we had the most comfortable stay, especially relaxing in the copper bath this was amazing thank you again clan young suite & thanks again for having us Tom & Lewis 10/10 Deffo recommend
