Cowry Cottage

This stone-built cottage sits in Beadnell, a coastal village in Northumberland where the beach is a two-minute walk away. It's semi-detached, part of a small modern development, and comes as a whole property to yourself. The ground floor holds an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space with patio doors opening onto an enclosed garden; upstairs are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate toilet. One bedroom has a double bed and ensuite shower, another has two single beds, and the third has bunks.

The kitchen has an electric cooker and fridge for self-catering. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. There's parking for two cars on site. The garden is fenced and equipped with furniture. If you're travelling with a young child or toddler, a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. Dogs are welcome. A pub, shop and restaurant are within 300 yards, and Beadnell Bay Beach itself—a wide sandy stretch—is practically on the doorstep.
