Cuddy's Rest suits couples after a compact base for exploring inland hills and the coast alike. The one-bedroom cottage sits in Belford, six miles from Bamburgh and its castle, with Wooler and the Cheviot Hills within reach westward. Northumberland's market towns—Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed—are easily accessible by car. St Cuthbert's Way runs nearby for those interested in walking, and Cuddy's Cave, the historic sandstone outcrop said to have sheltered Saint Cuthbert's remains after Viking raids, lies within an easy drive.
Everything is on the ground floor: open-plan living space with woodburner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a bedroom with double bed. The ensuite shower is bright, lit by a light well. Patio doors open onto a garden. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, plus initial logs for the fire. There is private parking for one car and a bike store. A pub is within a mile's walk.
Belford itself is small and walkable—pubs, a tea room and supermarket are all close by. The property does not permit smoking.
