Embleton Cottage

Northumberland

Beadnell is a quiet village on the Northumberland coast, with miles of sandy beach and dunes within easy reach on foot. Embleton Cottage sits on a peaceful road here, a stone building with an enclosed rear garden, patio and parking for two cars. The village itself is compact—the pub is just down the street, and a shop is nearby.

The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: one with a double bed and ensuite, and two with single beds each. There are two bathrooms in total. Downstairs, an open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a utility room housing a washer-dryer. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly—electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. No smoking throughout.

The location works for exploring the coast—Lindisfarne and its castle are accessible via the tidal causeway, and Alnwick Castle (used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films) is thirteen miles away. It's the kind of base where you can spend days on the beach or venture further afield.
