Rose Cottage works well for families needing proper space, couples after a coastal base, or small groups of up to six. The ground floor is open-plan living with a wood burner, kitchen equipped for real cooking, and a utility room. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a kingsize with ensuite, a double, and a bunk room—plus a family bathroom. Essentials like heating, linen, towels and wifi are covered; a cot is available if needed.
The cottage sits in Beadnell village, a working seaside community where pubs and shops are within easy reach on foot. The beach is genuinely close—a short walk rather than a drive—with a mix of sand and rocky outcrops that stretches north toward Seahouses. The area draws people for water sports, coastal walks along the Heritage Coast, and boat trips to the Farne Islands. There is private parking for two cars and an enclosed garden area. No smoking inside.

We stayed in rose cottage early May and were very disappointed. There was no welcome pack. Just a few sachets of milk thrown in the fridge. The back yard exterior was dirty with dead pot plants and really not inviting. The patio doors had what looked like a couple of long rags as curtains. The main bathroom was very tired. Both showers did not work and the bath was old and not fit for purpose. The hot water tap was dangerously hot albeit a warning was displayed. A starter pack of logs for the stove would have been nice. Rose cottage was tired and felt dirty and is in need of a good facelift. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and it's a great position.....

Stayed 4 nights - really good accommodation (dog friendly as well) across the road from a pub/restaurant & 2/3 mins walk to a pub/food. Can walk to the beach about 20/30 mins. Great location to visit many attractions. Defo go back

Great location and a comfy cottage for the 2 of us. The dedicated parking space is a real bonus for the area.
