Percy Wood Holiday Park spreads across 180 acres of woodland in rural Northumberland, close enough to the coast for a day trip but far enough inland for proper quiet. Flamingo's Rest sits on this grounds, a ground-floor lodge backing onto the trees. The park has its own café, play area, golf course and picnic spots; the surrounding villages and beaches are within reach for exploring.
Inside, the lodge fits four comfortably across two bedrooms—a double and two singles—with a second bathroom to match. The main living space is open plan, with a kitchen that has what you need to cook proper meals. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen and Wi-Fi are included. Outside, a private hot tub on the raised deck is the obvious draw, and there's parking for two cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
The layout is accessible, with just four steps to the entrance and everything on one level. Families will find the on-site playground useful; couples after a break will appreciate the seclusion of the hot tub. From here, you can reach Northumberland castles, market towns, stately homes and clifftop walks without committing to a single base camp.
