Sunflower Retreat

Sunflower Retreat is a single-storey cottage sleeping four on the grounds of Percy Wood Golf and Country Retreat, a 180-acre estate near Alnwick. Everything is on one level, opening directly onto decking with a private hot tub. The layout centres on an open-plan living and dining space with a wood-burning stove and French doors to outside. One bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite; the other has two singles and there is a separate shower room. The kitchen is equipped to cook proper meals, with a gas hob and electric oven alongside the usual appliances. Wi-Fi, heating and linen are all included.

The grounds hold woodland, picnic areas, a children's play space and a shared 18-hole golf course that guests can use. Wildlife here includes roe deer and red squirrels. The estate sits within reach of Northumberland's main attractions—Hadrian's Wall to the west, Holy Island and Bamburgh to the north, and a string of quiet beaches and villages in between. Alnwick town, known for its castle and independent shops, is nearby. The property does not permit smoking and welcomes one pet.
