Hadrians Lodge

Hadrians Lodge sits on the edge of Felmoor Park near Hexham, a 40-acre site where a small lake and grounds give the impression of rural seclusion despite convenient access to the A1. The lodge itself is built from timber, with an open-plan living space where a wood-burning stove, smart TV and dining area occupy the ground floor alongside the kitchen. Everything you need to cook is provided—electric oven, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher—and the essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included in the price. The three bedrooms sleep six: one double and two rooms with single beds each. There is one shower room. Outside, a private hot tub for six sits on raised decking with views across the water.

The immediate area suits families or groups wanting a quiet base with easy reach of Northumberland's main attractions. Northumberland Zoo is 500 yards away. Alnwick Castle is a short drive, as are the fishing village of Amble with its harbour and shops, and Warkworth with its riverside walks. The beach is roughly nine miles away. The property is non-smoking, and there are four steps to the entrance and within the grounds. A private parking space accommodates two cars. One pet is welcome.
