Hexham Cottage
Northumberland
Hexham Cottage is a three-bedroom house a short walk from Seahouses harbour, where the working fishing village centres on pubs, shops and tea rooms. The Farne Islands—famous for seals and seabirds—are reachable by boat from the harbour. Bamburgh, three miles north, has a castle that dominates the coast and regularly features in films; the Grace Darling Museum is there too. Horse riding can be arranged locally, and a golf course sits nearby on the links.
The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles and one with bunk beds. The single bathroom has a bath with shower over. Downstairs, a living room with woodburner and TV opens to a kitchen/dining room equipped for cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher—and a utility room with washing machine. Electricity and towels are included; bed linen is provided. One parking space comes with a permit for the public car park. One dog is welcome, though it must be kept on a lead. The property is non-smoking.
