Howburn Log Cabin suits couples or small groups after a self-contained retreat. The single-storey timber lodge sleeps four across two bedrooms—a kingsize and two singles—with one bathroom. Everything is on one level, five steps to the entrance, arranged around an open-plan living space where a wood burner, Smart TV with Netflix, and leather sofas invite you to settle in for the evening. The kitchen has gas cooking and full appliances for preparing meals; essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered, along with initial logs for the burner and a welcome pack.

Outside, the decked area has a BBQ and garden furniture, and the hot tub is the main draw for evenings. Four cars can park on the property. The cabin sits within reach of walking country—woodland surrounds it, and a steep path behind leads toward views across to the River Tyne. Riverside walks follow the water's edge, and for those interested in fishing, salmon passes can be arranged. The location places you on the edge of Northumberland National Park, well-positioned for exploring the region's countryside; the Lake District National Park is about an hour away. This is a no-smoking property.

Great place log burner hot tub out door garden furniturer and entertainment area. Along a cycling route so great for cyclists or if you just want a quiet getaway. Trains and traffic are not an issue. Well decorated with an authentic log cabin feel.

Wow. We are currently driving back to the midlands from this amazing log cabin. What a fabulous weekend. A beautiful cabin in a fabulous location. Set back a little but still an easy stroll into haltwhistle. Fabulous owners took their time to contact us before we went explaining different aspects of the cabin such as the hot tub. All the little touches throughout the cabin is amazing and really adds to its charm. The prosecco and chocolates were a lovely little touch on arrival. A fabulous hot tub which is incredibly easy to use. Even though we were unlucky enough to catch a weekend of the worst weather in weeks. We still got to make use of it between showers. The short walk into haltwhistle is a breeze. Where your met with a village of friendly faces. We had a chip shop takeaway and ate in one of the local pubs. Both of which provided great quality food. We will not hesitate to return and look forward to seeing more information on their upcoming kielder cottage! Thank you so much David and San.
