Old Brewery Coach House

I’m not sure where to start. This place has a perfect location to explore Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. It’s near a busy road but very quiet, it’s an old building but very modern. Firstly, the welcome was excellent, we had homemade scones, lemon drizzle cake, jam and eggs. All of which were lovely. Then there’s the bedrooms, which are nice and clean. The beds are very comfortable and it’s so quiet I’ve not slept this well in years. The kitchen, for us, became our hub where we ate, planned our excursions and played board games. The cottage is well situated for visiting Hadrian’s Wall, Carlisle, Gretna Green, Keilder Water and Forest, Hexham and a 90 minute drive from Bamburgh. There’s also tonnes of stuff nearby for nice walks and Haltwhistle is a gem of a town with restaurants, takeaways and shops (a small Sainsbury’s and Co-Op) cover all of your needs. I would definitely come back.

We have just returned from old brewery cottage, what an absolutely superb week we had, we arrived to be greeted by Jacqueline our host we had a lovely welcome pack of bacon, eggs, home made scones and home made jam and lemon drizzle cake a bottle of wine and doggy treats for our pooch, all the rooms were clean and comfortable... If you had forgotten something Jacqueline had thought of it. The garden was beautiful and my kids were overjoyed when they found the chickens at the top. We couldn't of asked for more during our stay. Thankyou so much. I am recommending you to my mom and my friend as they both want to come and both your properties would be perfect for them.

We stayed in the coach house and it was brilliant so cosy and clean. The welcome pack was a really nice touch and even included a treat for our dog. The hosts are absolutely lovely and did everything they could to make us comfortable, and the garden was a beautiful place to relax. Can't recommend enough, we're looking forward to booking again!

A lovely cosy ,clean cottage. Lovely home cooked treats left from the host which were delicious! Even a treat for our dog. The host was lovely and very welcoming. We really enjoyed our little break 😀
