Inglenook - Burn Lodge
Northumberland
Burn Lodge is a single-storey detached timber lodge on the outskirts of Haltwhistle. The whole property is yours alone, with everything arranged on one level: an open-plan living and dining area flowing into a fitted kitchen, a double bedroom with television, and a shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. Out front is a lawned garden with patio seating and parking for one car; no smoking inside.
Haltwhistle is within walking distance, a working market town with pubs, restaurants, shops and a leisure centre with a heated outdoor pool. The town sits roughly midway along Hadrian's Wall, the 70-mile Roman frontier that runs east to west across Northumberland and is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Train and bus services connect Haltwhistle to Newcastle, Carlisle and beyond, so exploring further afield without a car is straightforward. The surrounding countryside offers pony trekking, cycle hire and access to the wall itself—either for a walk or to visit one of the forts and visitor centres along its length.
