Marram at the Viking

Two steps up to Marram at the Viking, and you step straight into an open-plan living space that runs the length of the first floor. A living area with smart TV opens to a sunny balcony through French doors; the dining area flows naturally into a kitchen fitted with electric cooking, a dishwasher and a washer-dryer. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are all included, and a garage gives you secure parking for one car.

The main bedroom holds a kingsize bed and has its own ensuite bathroom with bath and heated towel rail. A second bedroom has two single beds, served by a shower room. A front garden with seating overlooks the water and Bamburgh Castle beyond. The location is the real draw: you're in the middle of Seahouses village, yards from the working harbour where boats run to the Farne Islands, a scatter of shops and cafés, and a wide sandy beach. Everything is genuinely walkable, so parking matters less once you've arrived. Bamburgh village lies two miles north, the Northumberland coast stretches further in both directions, and the countryside inland is close by for exploration.
