Otterburn Hall Lodges - Reiver's Rest sits within the 500-acre grounds of a working estate in Northumberland, close enough to walk to the village pub and positioned at the edge of the national park. The location puts you within reach of serious stargazing—the area is designated as Europe's largest International Dark Sky Park—and on the doorstep of walks through woodland. The lodge itself is single-storey, built around an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas all connecting to a south-facing decked area where the private hot tub is sited.
There are four bedrooms: two with super-kingsize beds and two with three-quarter doubles. Two bathrooms, each with bath and shower cubicle, serve the property. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all the usual appliances. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; a travel cot and highchair are available if needed. One well-behaved pet stays free of charge. The property is entirely yours—no shared facilities—with private parking for three cars and a ramp to the entrance. Smoking is not permitted inside.
This suits groups of up to eight looking for a rural base with easy access to walking country, or those drawn specifically to the dark skies and what they offer after dark.
