Peigh Hills Farm - Barley Mill
Northumberland
Photo: Google Maps
Barley Mill is a terraced cottage on Peigh Hills Farm, a working horse farm six miles north of Morpeth. Walking in, you enter a ground floor with a living room fitted out for relaxation, a separate kitchen with electric cooking and laundry facilities, and a dining room. Two bedrooms sit upstairs, each with its own en-suite bathroom—one with a bath and the other with a shower cubicle. The cottage sleeps four and comes with private parking.
The setting is rural, but the A1 is close by and the coast lies just six miles east towards Druridge Bay. Morpeth itself, a proper market town with train connections to Newcastle and Edinburgh, is a short drive away. Alnwick and its castle are to the north, while Rothbury sits in the Coquet valley a little further off. A pub and restaurant are within a mile. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included; the heating is oil-fired. No smoking inside.
