Puffling Apartment

Seahouses sits on Northumberland's heritage coastline where fishing boats still work the harbour and seabirds wheel overhead. Puffling Apartment occupies part of Cliff House Cottages, a cluster of converted properties arranged around a cobbled courtyard in the heart of the village. The single bedroom sleeps two, with a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen-dining space where you can cook proper meals. One dog is welcome here.

The apartment is genuinely close to the harbour—a minute or two on foot—which is where boat trips to the Farne Islands leave from. The village has independent shops, a butcher and baker, pubs and restaurants, and a newsagent. Parking for one car fits in the courtyard, though the access arch is narrow. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A communal laundry room is available to guests. The property does not permit smoking.

This corner of the coast appeals to people wanting to watch wildlife, walk the beaches or simply sit near working water. June and July bring puffins to the islands; grey seals and other seabirds are there year-round. Miles of sand stretch north and south along the beach.
