Just brilliant. Good parking, great friendly staff. The Audio tour is a must and give so much more information about the Castle. It's about a 2 hour trip as the upstairs rooms are private but what we saw was well done and entertaining. The views are spectacular.

Visited Bamburgh Castle whilst on a coach holiday. The castle, the grounds and the views are spectacular. There's a lot of interesting things to see and learn from the history and the artefacts they have inside. They have cafes, toilet facilities, and gift shops. Not sure how much the entrance fee is because this excursion was already included in our holiday. A good addition was to see the costumes used in the TV series The Last Kingdom. A recommended place to visit. Destiny is all!

A beautiful coastal castle where history meets nature. You can easily pass a whole day here enjoying the views. The absolute highlight for photography enthusiasts is the shot from the beach looking up at the castle. It’s a must-visit, and being able to use my Historic Houses card was a massive bonus 1/7/2026

If you are looking for a day out that perfectly blends jaw-dropping scenery, epic history, and genuine warmth, look no further than Bamburgh Castle. Perched majestically on a rocky outcrop overlooking the dramatic Northumberland coastline, this spectacular fortress takes your breath away before you even step through the gates. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. The castle grounds are beautifully maintained, offering sweeping, panoramic views of the sandy beaches and the North Sea. It is the kind of place where history truly feels alive, with every ancient stone and grand stateroom telling a fascinating story of kings, battles, and resilience. The absolute highlight of our visit, however, was the medieval exhibit. While the collection of artifacts, armor, and weaponry is deeply impressive on its own, it was the incredible staff who truly stole the show. The guides stationed in this section were absolutely excellent. Their knowledge was profound, but what we loved most was their infectious enthusiasm. Instead of just reciting facts, they brought the medieval world to life with captivating stories and witty insights, happily pausing to answer our endless questions with a smile. It is rare to encounter team members so genuinely passionate and eager to engage with visitors, and it transformed our self-guided tour into a richly interactive experience. Whether you are a dedicated history buff, a family looking for adventure, or simply someone who appreciates stunning coastal vistas, Bamburgh Castle delivers an unforgettable experience. With its rich heritage, magnificent views, and world-class, friendly team, it is an absolute must-visit. We are already planning our next trip back!
