Stargazer

Northumberland

Beadnell beach is a ten-minute walk away, backed by dunes and reaching far enough out at low tide to feel like your own stretch of sand. The Cheviot Hills rise inland, walkable too if you want higher ground. Stargazer sits in the village itself, a detached house sleeping six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms: a king with ensuite on the ground floor, two doubles sharing the family bathroom upstairs. The open-plan first floor—living, dining and kitchen in one—has glass doors opening onto a balcony facing south-west, the kind of spot that works for morning coffee, afternoon reading or evening drinks.

The kitchen handles real cooking, with gas hob, electric oven and a dishwasher to deal with the aftermath. There's a wine cooler if you've brought bottles, a utility room with washer-dryer, and heating throughout. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are sorted. Two tennis courts are on site. The garden is decked and enclosed, with furniture provided, and you get parking for two cars. The house suits families and couples looking for a base near the coast, away from parties and groups.
