The Wellington Hideaway

Northumberland

View on Google Maps

Couples, small families and friends will find The Wellington Hideaway suits them well—it's a single-storey cottage sleeping four across two bedrooms, all on one level. The property sits within Berwick-upon-Tweed's historic Elizabethan walls, a short walk from Coxon's Tower and the town's famous ramparts. The location puts you near both the Northumberland coastline and the architectural heritage the area is known for.

Everything happens on the ground floor. The living and dining room has an open fire and television; the kitchen is fitted with a full range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine, so you can cook proper meals or handle laundry as needed. One bedroom has a superking bed, the other two singles, and the bathroom includes a bath with shower attachment and heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and heating are all provided. You'll have parking on site and access to a shared garden with a sitting area.

The property is reached by footpath only. No smoking is permitted. It's a practical base for exploring the Elizabethan walls themselves, the coast, and Berwick's history without the complication of managing multiple floors or a sprawling layout.
