About Mucking Fuddle
Tucked into five acres of Norfolk farmland, Mucking Fuddle offers a single off-grid shepherd's hut that sleeps four—complete with a kingsize bed that converts into a dining area and a separate bunk room for children. Solar-powered and thoughtfully kitted out with a woodburning stove, USB ports and a breakfast bar, it's thoroughly family- and dog-friendly. The converted horse-trailer bathroom provides a composting loo and hot shower, while the communal camp kitchen has a fridge, two-hob gas stove and barbecue for al fresco feasts. Outdoor seating accommodates eight, so there's plenty of room to spread out.
The Broads National Park lies just 20 minutes' drive away for boating and canoeing, while closer to hand you'll find a pub-restaurant within a 10-minute walk and Bergh Apton's post office, fishing lake and nature reserve all reachable on foot. Country walks start directly from site. It's a peaceful, well-placed base for exploring the area, though with only basic facilities some might find the set-up a touch rustic.

Stayed here whilst bikepacking. Great campsite to arrive by bike. Easy booking online and turn up and pitch. Very nice quiet campsite with clean facilities. Super thoughtful amenities, fire pits, wood shop, marshmallows, baby baths, pot was area. Toilets and showers super clean. Great location close to Hickling broad.

This is a lovely little campsite within walking distance to the Hickling broad. We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend in May. The site did get busy but we had no issues using the facilities. The site has braziers, washing up facilities, toilets and showers. These were cleaned regularly during our stay.

A beautiful campsite in a beautiful village with 2 walkable pubs and world class nature. Deserted mid week but busy with families by weekend. Powerful hot showers and great braziers for outside cooking. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing showers. Good location, nice site. No electric hook up but not a problem if camping or solar on campervan.
