Oban Caravan and Camping Park

We stayed in February in our camper. Absolutely stunning views and so peaceful. However the pitches are all grass and were unusable. We managed to park half on and off so we could get out the next day. The toilet block is outdated. The females was clean but freezing. The men’s had either rat or mice droppings in it. Needs updating and more blocks. No WiFi across the site either.

Really cute pod - comes with a sink, hob and fridge. Bed comes together to make a huge space. Shower and toilet block were clean but I did get eaten a bit by midges! Really nice walk into Oban town and there is also a ferry to nearby island you can get. The water is straight from the hills so needs boiling before you drink.

Good value for money Challenging single-track access road, slow down, use passing places Very remote, but quiet and surrounded by nature. The promised "no problem getting a taxi" turned out to be completely false. No Uber goes there; we tried for an hour. The local taxi companies were booked up for hours. A real shame, as this meant we couldn't visit the town. Parking a campervan in Oban itself is not very easy. Thankfully, we had brought enough food with us. The pitch on the grass is nice, but you absolutely need leveling blocks to compensate for the uneven ground, otherwise it will be very crooked. The meadow is quickly shaded and it gets cold quite quickly. Late check-in was not possible. We hurried to arrive on time, only to find our instructions in a bucket 20 minutes before check-in time – with no staff present. We wouldn't have had to rush so much. The sanitary facilities were okay – there was no hot water for the hand basins in the upper section, and the showers had automatic dispensers. ... The groundskeeper was very friendly and we were able to tell each other funny stories - great person, best regards to him.

An incredible stay — we'll absolutely be back! We had a fantastic stay here with a group of eight and honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. The lodge was beautiful — four en-suite bedrooms, a hot tub, and a terrace with the most stunning views. We spent so much time just sitting outside taking it all in. The location is great too — only a 50-minute walk into Oban town centre, which made it easy to explore without any hassle. The perfect balance of peaceful retreat and easy access to everything the town has to offer. The staff were genuinely brilliant — so friendly and helpful throughout. A special mention to manager Siobhan, who was absolutely wonderful and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. That kind of personal touch really does make a difference. We'd recommend this place to anyone without hesitation and are already looking at dates to come back. Don't miss it!
