Family-run seashore park near Connel with views to Mull

About North Ledaig Caravan Park

North Ledaig Caravan Park has been run by the same family since 1962, spreading across 30 acres of shoreline at Connel with open views across the water to Mull. The site takes tents, touring caravans and motorhomes on a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches, many with 16-amp electric hook-up, and campers praise the warm welcome and well-kept facilities—though a few note that some areas can feel a little dated in places.

An accessible shower block, laundry, baby room and small shop stocking essentials serve day-to-day needs, while a dog walking area and late-arrivals section with hook-up add practical touches for those travelling with pets or arriving after hours. Connel village, with its shops, pubs and the dramatic Falls of Lora tidal rapids beneath the bridge, is within walking distance, and Oban lies a short drive south, making this a solid base for combining a quieter coastal setting with easy access to the town's ferries and amenities.

Lovely campsite, clean and modern facilities, lovely staff, and what a stunning location. Couldn't ask for more! We stayed 2 nights in our motorhome, pitched on hardstanding overlooking the sea and stunning view of the isle of Mull.

This is a an affiliated Caravan and Motorhome Club site with direct access to the beach at North Ledaig.\\n\\nIt’s a (very) large site and a bit old-fashioned in places, but the beach, the sunsets if you’re lucky enough to have the weather we did, and the views of the islands more than make up for this.\\n\\nThe shop is well-stocked for a club site, although we did think the entrance to the site was a little scruffy with several (what appeared to be scrap) vehicles as the first impression of the site. However, once past the entrance the site is well maintained and the facilities block was amongst the best I’ve experienced.\\n\\nIt was a shame a couple of the showers didn’t work - and they appeared timed to stop each time I’d just put shampoo on my hair - but they were extremely clean and modern.\\n\\nRunning through the site is the old railway line, which has been made into a level path/cycle way, giving excellent access to North Connel to the south and villages to the north.\\n\\nThe town of Oban is only a few miles away, with spectacular scenery along the entire route. It has all the facilities expected in any major town, including great restaurants and eateries - my favourite shoe shop - and a great whisky distillery. It’s also the gateway to the islands with regular ferry services running throughout the day.

We camped here in motorhome. More expensive than usual but the location made up for it. Right on the beach and we watched the sunset. Facilities clean. Staff very helpful although maybe not so flexible. Shower wasn't quite hot enough but it was fine.
