Here's a corner of lovely Pembrokeshire countryside all set up for laid-back, wild-camping adventures. Set in the 'Black Diamond' village of Hook – one of the last mining villages in Wales – on the Cleddau River Estuary, 7 Acres Camping offers masses of space where you can pick your own pitch to be as sociable or unsociable as you please. There's plenty of room for kids and dogs to run around safely, and a public footpath leads straight from the fields through woodland down to the river banks.
It's genuinely no-frills here – no running water or electricity, so bring torches, batteries and drinking water – but that's part of the appeal for budget campers and D. of E. groups after a proper back-to-basics experience. Fire up a barbecue by your pitch, and if you run out of essentials, the village shop is a 10-minute walk away. The local sports club welcomes campers to join in events, adding a nice community feel to this peaceful, remote spot.

Fantastically welcoming hosts! Good road access for wider vehicles. Close and convenient for Fishguard and Pembroke ferry ports. Facilities are fantastic, super clean and modern showers and toilets, grey water and waste disposal and rubbish disposal also. Very quiet and peaceful with no road noise, located on a hill looking down on the bay over Little Haven and Broad Haven, both of which have fantastic beaches that become one singular massive beach at low tide. Only a short journey from the gorgeous wee city of St David's also.

Absolutely lovely campsite. So spacious and the facilities are second to none, including a campers shack complete with microwave. It was so quiet I slept like a log. Val, the owner, is kindness itself. Thanks for everything!
