The Hayloft

Walk through the door of The Hayloft and you enter a converted barn's upper floor at ground level, with an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space stretching ahead. Wooden floors, a leather corner sofa and an oval dining table fill the main room, which overlooks a woodland glade dotted with mature trees. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are accessed via a mezzanine level above. One bedroom has a king bed, the other a single; the bathroom includes both a bath and a shower cubicle.

The property sits at the end of a long drive through 107 acres of private woodland and farmland. You have your own parking for three cars, and there is storage space for bikes, surfboards, boats and trailers if needed. Essentials including Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered. There is no smoking inside. Children under 10 are not catered for.

Broad Haven, less than five minutes away by car, has two sandy beaches popular for water sports, with two pubs, two restaurants, cafés and a shop. Picton Castle and Gardens, a 13th-century property remodelled in the 1750s, is within easy reach for a day out. The coast itself is your main draw here—the area is known for surfing and walking.
