About Birtwick Park
Birtwick Park sits in quiet Pembrokeshire countryside a short drive from Haverfordwest, offering a peaceful, small-scale escape with just 11–25 pitches. You'll find electric grass and hardstanding options (including XL pitches), plus campfires and barbecues are both allowed—a rarity that adds to the relaxed, rural feel. The site describes itself as a wildlife haven and walkers' paradise, with coastal paths, canoeing, cycling and surf schools all nearby.
Facilities are straightforward: toilet block, showers, washing-up area and chemical disposal, though some visitors note the amenities can feel a little tired in places. Dogs are welcome year-round, and there's a farm atmosphere that families and motorcyclists both appreciate. With a bar, shop and farmers' market close by, it's a solid, no-frills base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast without the fuss of larger sites.

For the two nights that we were here the toilets were gross, balls of hair, blocked drains, wee all over the mens. A family were camping whose children had no boundaries and we're trying to go in everyone tents/vans, very unsafe! Stroking people's dogs without permission. Never met the owner until the morning we left, she was cleaning the toilets. She said there was a leak in one of them and I said yea there's a lot of Beatles too and she replied, yea we've got a bit of a beetle problem. There was dog poos left in the field too and coal on our pitch from the people before us BBQ, so she clearly isn't checking the site regularly. I then watched her walk down the field as we were leaving and her jack russel ran I someone tent, she kept calling it and it completely ignored her; why it was off a lead I dont know, she seemed to have no control over it. Location is great but not worth it!

We had a weekend away in Pembrokeshire, the site was just perfect for exploring the local coastline. The site itself is a working farm, we were notified of this before we arrived. Upon arrival at 13:30 our pitch was not available due the previous campers not leaving on time……no drama we just left the site and went to Solva for a cuppa and cake. The pitches are a generous size, the ground is very uneven. The shower/toilets facilities are ok, clean. The only negative is the shower stays on for about 15 seconds. There’s more positives than negatives with this site, the location is brilliant. We will definitely return.

We've just had a great week here. Two adults two kids and a dog. A very quiet and beautiful, out of the way spot. This is just a simple camping field with electric hook up. There are two showers, two toilets and two sinks for male and female. Water and waste points and two sinks for washing up. You are allowed camp fires in a fire pit, that are supplied. We thought it was perfect, so peaceful and quiet just 15 minutes from Newgale Beach. The lady owner even allowed us too have a packet delivered, thank you 🙏🏻 My only observation is that the grass could do with cutting a bit more often.
