About Preseli Glamping

Tucked into the Pembrokeshire countryside near Haverfordwest, Preseli Glamping offers a peaceful retreat with a geodesic dome as well as traditional grass pitches and hardstanding for campervans. Campfires are encouraged here, and the site welcomes dogs, making it particularly appealing for families wanting a proper escape into nature. Basic facilities – showers, toilets, drinking water – keep things comfortable without unnecessary fuss.

The 4.6 Google rating reflects a generally happy crowd, though as with many rural sites, mobile signal can be patchy despite the WiFi provision. It's an unpretentious base for exploring Pembrokeshire's coastal drama and market towns, where the emphasis is firmly on simplicity and outdoor living rather than bells and whistles.

I absolutely love Preseli campsite! Quiet, spacious, friendly - with fabulous facilities. Plenty of hot water and clean toilets and showers. You can buy terrific logs for the camp fire. You have your own sturdy picnic bench and table, plus camp fire to cook off and then sit around in the evening as the embers die down. It's a lovely walk down to the sea, with the many coves on offer. Great pubs close by. Totally restorative!

Great, quiet spot for camping if you're looking for a largely do it yourself experience. When you arrive you just pull up, find your pitch, use a wheelbarrow in the parking lot to get your gear to the pitch, pop up your tent, and enjoy. There are directions in the utility room in the parking area if you need to contact someone for firewood or anything else. There is also a phone charging station and freezer for ice packs in the utility room. While you can see other pitches, most are separated enough to give you a good sense of privacy. The pitches are also a nice size, flat, and well-kept. The toilet/shower facility was very clean, but I could imagine if all the pitches are full, they could get busy as there are only 4 toilet/shower rooms. There is a washing station for dishes and another for wet suits. There are also water taps conveniently located throughout the site. The access to the Pembrokeshire National Trail is easy and the maps in the utility room make it pretty easy to find some beautiful places. The views from the site are also quite lovely. From the top pitches you get a view to the ocean in the distance and from the middle pitches there is a beautiful view of the countryside and the village of Mathry. There is a farm down the road so there was the occasional aroma of manure in the air, but personally I think it adds to the ambiance. If you're looking for a remote, quiet camping spot, this place is great. We will definitely return.

A stunning campsite where the pitches are enormous and secluded. I couldn't believe that we had our own space of well-cut grass around our tent that Included a picnic bench and campfire and the pitches are completely secluded from one another. The only downside is having to cart or carry camping equipment up and down the hill to from pitch to car park. This didn't bother us, however it may be difficult for anyone less fit or able, or if the weather was bad. This does mean that the campsite is safer and quieter without vehicles driving around, though. Would definitely camp here again!
