Corner House comes with everything you need for a self-catering stay: bed linen and towels are provided, the heating and electricity are covered, and there's wifi throughout. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave all present—so you can prepare meals without restriction. A wood burner heats the living room for cooler evenings, and there's comfortable seating arranged around it alongside a dining area. One pet stays free, which is unusual enough to mention.

The property sleeps five across three bedrooms: a kingsize with its own en-suite shower, two singles, and another single. There are two bathrooms in total. Downstairs you'll also find a utility room with a washing machine. Parking is on the road beside the cottage. The Farmers Arms pub is within a mile, and Haverfordwest town centre is accessible for supplies and services. No smoking indoors.

The location sits on the edge of Pembrokeshire National Park, within reach of the Preseli Mountains, the coastal path, and several beaches including Whitesands and Newgale. St Davids with its cathedral is within reasonable distance. Local buses pass through for one-way walks or day trips.

We holidayed at The Corner House in the village of Mathry this summer. Such a fabulous corner of Pembrokeshire. Mathry is well situated to enjoy all that North Pembrokeshire has to offer. An elevated position with lovely views down to the coast from the village. A proper old-school village pub - The Farmers Arms - serving great beer. It’s a pretty 40 minute walk down to two lovely beaches, and just a 15 min drive to heaps of other beaches and the town of St David’s. Whitesands bay, the Blue Lagoon at Aberreidy, Porthgain village with its famous restaurant and great pub are all on your doorstep and a must-see. There’s a well-stocked local village shop 5 mins drive away which means you don’t need to venture far for everything you need. The Corner House itself is a really lovely period cottage. A big kitchen and family bathroom, generous sized communal rooms, comfortable beds, heaps of charm and character, lots of stylish furnishing details - as well as being fully equipped and set up for family living away from home. It’s dog-friendly too and although there is no garden with the house there are plenty of bridleways and footpaths leading out of the village for a quick leg-stretch. We will definitely book again.

We spent a wonderful week at the corner house in Mathry. It is a lovely cottage, well equipped, beds very comfortable and sparkling clean. Mathry is a friendly village, with great pub and tea shop. The location is perfect, amazing walks on the doorstep and brilliantly located to explore Solva, St Davids, Fishguard, Newgale.. nowhere was more than a 20 minute drive. Would highly recommend it!

Lovely cottage very clean and suited us perfectly! Mathry is a really nice little hamlet and friendly welcome at The Farmers Arms and lovely food. Very central to lots of places such as St David's, Whitesands and Porthgain (definitely try the fish and chips here!) will be returning. Thank you
