About Tower Hill Campsite
Tower Hill Campsite is a tiny, wild retreat tucked into the Pembrokeshire countryside with full views of its nearest mountain and the Preseli Hills beyond. Just ten minutes from Haverfordwest's shops and station, and the same distance to the coast's sandy beaches and surf breaks, it occupies a sweet spot for exploring both rural and coastal Pembrokeshire. The site itself is bare-bones – water and a compost toilet, car parking by your pitch, and firepits allowed (raised off the ground) – but the setting more than compensates.
Wildlife is a major draw. Foxes, badgers and otters pass through regularly, while coastal forays can turn up porpoises, dolphins, seals and puffins. Light pollution is virtually non-existent, making August's shooting-star season particularly spectacular. To preserve the peace, music isn't permitted, and the site asks guests to keep noise to a minimum. It's a place for those who value tranquillity and birdsong over conveniences, though families are welcome (Folly Farm is nearby) and dogs can roam on leads year-round.
