Marloes sits on the Pembrokeshire coast inside the national park, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, coves and turquoise water. The village itself is small and quiet, with two pubs nearby serving local food and ales. A short walk takes you to Marloes Sands beach, and from Martin's Haven a few miles away you can boat out to Skokholm and Skomer to see puffins, seals, razorbills and shearwaters. The 186-mile coastal path runs through the area for serious walkers.
Collingwood is a Victorian semi on a country lane, set back a few fields from the shore. It has two double bedrooms on the first floor—one with a 4ft 6in bed, one with two singles—and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Downstairs, the living room has a TV, the dining room overlooks the garden, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking. Original quarry tiles and fireplaces remain throughout. A lawned garden with sitting-out area and barbecue faces away from the road; there's parking for two cars and one well-behaved dog is welcome. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. No smoking inside.
The Lobster Pot Inn is within a mile. This suits families, couples and groups who want immediate access to walking and wildlife without being in a town.
