Glom Cottage
Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire's coast draws families and couples year-round, with Tenby's walled town and sandy beaches a 15-minute drive away. Glom Cottage sits in the quieter hamlet of Milton, close enough to explore but far enough to feel tucked away. Carew Castle and its restored tidal mill are just five minutes' drive if you want a day out; otherwise, the cottage itself gives you plenty of reason to stay put.
This converted stone barn sleeps six across three bedrooms—a king, a double, and bunks—with one bathroom. The ground-floor layout means no stairs to manage, though there are a few steps into the kitchen and bedrooms. A large open-plan living and dining room has an open fire, original beams and a piano. The kitchen has an electric cooker, Rayburn and everything needed to cook properly. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; the open fire gets you started with fuel. One well-behaved dog stays free.
The real draw is the enclosed garden: a heated swim spa (available for an extra charge) with a Jacuzzi section, a pizza oven for evening meals, and space to sit out. You get parking for two cars. No smoking indoors. It works well for family holidays, multigenerational trips or groups of friends who want their own space but want to cook together.
