An 18th-century Baptist Chapel transformed into a four-bedroom holiday cottage, Old Chapel House retains the character of its listed building while offering the practicalities of modern life. Barnoldswick sits on the Pendle border in Lancashire, handy for the hills and within reach of Hope Technology if you're working locally. The whole place is yours alone, sleeping up to eight guests across bedrooms ranging from a super king to zip-and-link singles.
Ground floor holds the main living space under double height ceilings, with a wood-burning stove, leather sofas and an open kitchen centred on a large island with polished concrete worktops. The dining area features a reclaimed stone pillar salvaged from elsewhere. Upstairs are the four bedrooms; the master has an en-suite shower, and a separate family bathroom serves the rest. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There is parking for three cars on the drive and an enclosed patio for sitting outside. No smoking throughout.
