The Cateran Trail, a 64-mile circular walk through Perthshire, starts within easy reach of Baldowrie Farm Cottage. The immediate landscape—quiet roads through rolling fields—suits cyclists and walkers equally well, with signposted routes crisscrossing the area. A pub serving food sits roughly two miles away; Coupar Angus, Newtyle and Ardler offer shops and restaurants within short drives. Further afield, Glamis Castle, Scone Palace and the V&A are accessible for day trips.
This traditional stone cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, the other with a single and a pull-out single. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Ground-floor living includes an open fire in the lounge, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine. An enclosed garden with seating area and furniture opens from the stable door. Parking fits two cars on site.
Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered. One pet is welcome. The cottage is non-smoking and is accessed via a farm track, giving it genuine rural seclusion. Note there are four steps down into the garden.

Great cottage three miles from Coupar Angus. Parking out front. Inside and outside seating. Ideal for our two dogs. Lovely views. Good shower. Wife very happy with the galley kitchen and Irn Bru and tunnock welcome pack. Any issues Cheryl is quick to help and had great communication before visit of places to eat. The WiFi is hit and miss and a nest of coffee tables would make it even more comfortable. Would stay again if on holiday with the dogs.
