The river runs past the garden of Buchanan's Bothy, a detached cottage built in 1996 on the banks of the Tay, a few miles east of Perth. Two bedrooms occupy the ground floor—one with a super king bed and ensuite, the other with twin singles and its own shower room. Upstairs, an open-plan living area spreads across the first floor, with wooden beams, exposed stonework and a wood-burning stove at its centre, alongside a fully fitted kitchen and dining space. The cottage takes 4 guests and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
A grassy garden area fronts the property, with parking for two cars on site. Inside, you'll find everything needed to cook and eat, including a dishwasher and air fryer. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, as is the initial fuel for the stove. One dog travels free. The location suits both those wanting a quiet retreat by the river and people based nearby in Perth, or using the cottage as a hub for exploring Perthshire, Fife and the central belt—Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow are all within reach for the day.
