What visitors say
An amazing find! Home to the JD Fergusson collection currently showing a further exhibition of rarely seen work by the Scottish Colourists. Tickets were a bargain at around £6 and entry was free if you bought the accompanying book. Super helpful staff and pretty gift shop

First time visiting and will certainly be back for more exhibitions. Free admission and also another exhibition which was ticketed. As someone with a disability it would be nice if there was some benches or seats dotted around in the galleries to allow for seating/resting while looking at things. Expensive but lovely items in gift shop. Will definitely return. Very lovely building.

The collection here is very significant and greatly rewarding as the Scottish colourists are shown to good effect in a wonderful setting. Good supporting information from art critics throughout.

This museum proves that toilets can be amazing. The design is creative, playful, and very kid-friendly. Beyond that, the museum itself is charming, with exceptionally friendly staff. Most of the museum can be visited free of charge, while a few special sections require an affordable ticket. It offers a nice mix of historic and contemporary art, a lovely café with a gift shop, and an excellent children’s area with plenty to keep young visitors entertained. Highly recommended and well worth a visit.
