Willesdene Cottage comes ready for immediate use: electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all provided, along with wifi. The kitchen has a full set of appliances including a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge-freezer, making it straightforward to cook from scratch or reheat ready meals. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. The cottage itself is a two-storey stone building on the edge of Abernethy village, with original wooden floors and deep windowsills that speak to its age.

Downstairs is an open-plan living, kitchen and dining space with comfortable seating and a log-effect fire. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king bed and the other has two singles, served by a bathroom with a shower over the bath. On-road parking is available outside; a public car park lies 200 yards away. The village has a shop, café and grocery store within walking distance, and Pitmedden Forest sits at the top of the lane with marked walks through woodland. This is non-smoking accommodation. Families with young children will find the nearby play park useful; walkers have Castle Law Hill and its Iron Age fort remains a short distance off.
