Westerton - The Old Stables at Westerton
Perth and Kinross
View on Google MapsThe Old Stables at Westerton is a single-storey cottage that opens straight into its utility room—handy for boots and coats before you step into the heart of things. From there, an open-plan living space flows toward French doors that frame views across the private garden and surrounding countryside. The building was once the estate's stables, later its laundry, and retains original character while offering modern comfort. One bedroom and one bathroom serve two guests, and everything you need—bed linen, towels, WiFi and electricity—is included.
The cottage sits in a cobbled courtyard within woodland, a setting that genuinely isolates it from the everyday. Crieff, a Victorian town with cafés, restaurants and independent shops, lies two miles away. Four and a half miles further brings Comrie, a launch point for mountain biking and hillwalking across central Scotland's peaks, plus water sports and fishing on Loch Earn. Two miles in another direction reaches Gleneagles and around 20 other golf courses. There's parking on site and an enclosed patio for sitting outside. No smoking indoors; one dog is welcome. Check in is after 3pm, checkout before 10am.
