Woodside

The Cateran Trail starts at the end of the drive, and Blairgowrie's market town amenities lie four miles away. Closer still are woodland walks where deer and red squirrels are regularly spotted, plus the ruins of Glasclune Castle within the grounds. Further afield, the Angus Glens offer more demanding routes, and Glamis and Scone Palace are among numerous historic houses in the area.

Woodside is a self-contained cottage on a rural estate, with two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with twin singles), two bathrooms, and a private hot tub. Downstairs, an open-plan living space has a wood-burning stove and kitchen equipped for real cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Underfloor heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included; the initial load of wood for the stove is too. One well-behaved dog can stay free.

The property suits couples, small families and friends looking for countryside quiet without isolation. In winter, the uphill approach may be challenging for standard vehicles. Parking for two cars is on site.
