Tor View is a hidden gem! Just a couple of minutes from Portree, it’s in the perfect spot—easy to find and with stunning views over the town, giving you a real taste of Skye’s beauty. Murdo and Shona, the hosts, are warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge. They gave us great tips on what to see and the best routes for exploring the island. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a breathtaking view (we even managed to capture a rainbow!). We also enjoyed the wide selection of teas in the morning. Highly recommended—we’d happily come back.

Room: Spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Amazing views as well! If using booking.com, please visit the Tor View website because all rooms are different and booking.com was a bit confusing and misleading. 5 star nonetheless! Service: really great! The host was very friendly and nice, gave some great food and activity recommendations and even chatted with us for a bit when we checked in. Location: great location for views and peace. A slight challenge actually getting to the house but not terrible. 5min drive from the town, and if doing the Old Man of Storr hike(highly recommend), only a 10 minute drive!

The best B&B I’ve ever stayed in. It’s some distance from the town center of Portree but that lends to its quietness. The view is amazing. The owner was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing! There were little thoughtful touches like leaving guests a selection of teas that they can help themselves to and serving breakfast in the room. Even the delicious breakfast was presented beautifully showing the thought and effort put into giving the guest a delightful experience. WiFi signal was good

This is a hidden gem: the house is a little bit off Portree (4min by car), but we loved the quietness in contrast to the crowds of tourists and the loudness of pub visitors. We also loved the talks with our host, a friendly and calm person, who gave us many tips and advices for our visit on Isle of Skye, many thanks. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was brought to our room door, then we enjoyed it while watching the great view over Portree and the landscape. If you like clean and quiet accommodations, love exceptional landscape views, and have no problems driving 4min or have a walk of 20min, then this is a great place to stay. Definetly recommend it.
