Portree sits at the heart of Skye, and a short drive out from the town brings you to Dalriada, a quiet adults-only guest house at Achachork with open mountain views over the surrounding countryside. It makes a peaceful base for exploring the island while still being close enough to Portree for its shops, pubs and restaurants.
Rooms are en-suite and come with drinks available in room, and the guest house is well set up for early starts or lazy mornings alike, with 24 hour reception on hand. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a wide choice including homemade bread and daily treats, all freshly prepared. Hosts are attentive and happy to share local knowledge, and can even put together packed lunches for guests heading out on hikes.

This was our last stay in Scotland and by far the best! Scott, Ian, and Floss made us feel incredibly welcome in their home. Their service and communication is top tier. Every morning, we enjoyed a personalized, HOMEMADE breakfast as well as conversation about what we were doing that day. We were glad for any helpful tips and tricks. We also came back each evening with a new, homemade treat in our room. This is a phenomenal place to experience. I highly recommend it!

I cannot say enough good about this stay. Hands down, that very best place I have ever stayed! Ian and Scott where the most friendly, accommodating hosts anyone could ask for, and they TRULY exuded excitement to take care of all the guests. The common room was well utilized for all to socialize, share the experiences they had while visiting Isle of Skye, and receive suggestions from Scott, Ian, and other guests. The breakfast was 10 STARS every morning. If you have a specific need, just ask in advance, and they will take care of you!!

Wow, where to begin. The rooms were very well appointed and very clean. Where the 5 stars come from are the hosts. Not only are they incredibly helpful with recommendations but their level of customer service is by far above most locations we have stayed. Their made to order breakfast options where outstanding and we missed them the day we left. Of the 27 days we stayed in Scotland and Ireland, this was the most memorable and enjoyable.

A fabulous place to stay! Our hosts Scott and Ian were so welcoming and friendly and gave great recommendations on things to see and do. They know what they are doing and look after every detail to ensure your stay is perfect. We loved relaxing by the fire in the lounge room in the evenings. The breakfasts were amazing with homemade bread and yoghurt and a great variety of breakfast treats. If you are planning to visit Portree this is the place to stay!!
