What visitors say
Just back from multi-night stay at Blair’s as a camping couple. We camp all around UK & Ireland so plenty of experience and plenty of sites to compare this one against. Location suited us and indeed it was functional, but that’s where the positives ended. We’re on holidays, that’s why we came to “Hilltop Holiday Park” , ie for a holiday. No such vibe there, no basic amenities we are used to everywhere we go, and no view either to compensate for other deficiencies £30stg/night + £50stg deposit for what we still cant figure out yet. The patch of field at rear of caravans was our lot, at side of rough gravel yard adjacent to Blairs storage yard with big trucks coming and going, cig butts, broken glass rough surface. No water point for campers, no option to pay for elec, zero elec options anywhere infact, zero ice block freezing, zero campers kitchen or even empty sheltered space to use as such. The daily mowing of the grass with big machines with no grass collection was major problem, sludgy clumpy cuttings decomposing everywhere. See attached photo. Awful surface to camp on. We did not bring kids on this trip, just adults. But as zero children’s amenities available, i would strongly advise that you do your homework and find somewhere else that will give you a holiday vibe. This place won’t.

Good location and friendly park staff, but my experience with management was extremely disappointing. Everything seemed to revolve around fees, charges and extracting as much money as possible from owners. By the time I sold my caravan, after finding the buyer myself and arranging all the certificates, I was still charged around £7,000 in commission for what amounted to a brief handover meeting. The whole process felt soulless and transactional. Once you’re an owner, be prepared for rising fees, expensive charges and plenty of “computer says no” responses. Prospective buyers should make sure they fully understand the costs of ownership and, more importantly, the costs of leaving.

Everything here at Blairs hilltop portrush was amazing. Stayed here for the weekend and I can definitely say we got lucky with the weather lol. Everything is class there. But the only issue is where the hire vans are. They are near a wind turbine which sort of disturbed us a wee bit but this would be perfect if you went to stay for the North West 200 race week! And there is a place made by the same company in Antrim called Castlewood holiday park. I recommend that as it is more scenic with a private beach and all that. I roll with Castlewood!
