Scott was a great host and made us feel right at home. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Breakfast was the highlight of our stay - excellent starters to choose from (porridge, granola and pastries) with complementary tea/coffee and juice, and a choice of mains prepared to perfection. The location is great, Dhu Varren train station is right in front of the property and it's only a short 5 minute walk to the West Strand. I would definitely recommend the Carrick and would gladly stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and impressive and retained many of the buildings original features. Scott even gave us a tour around one of the other rooms to show us the fireplace etc. Each room had its own name and layout, and the little touches such as bathrobes, twirl bars and welcome drink showed Scott's attention to detail and pride in his hotel. If we needed anything he brought it to our room straight away and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a good selection to choose from and all freshly made to order. His assistant at breakfast was really friendly and helpful and told us about some of the sights to explore in the area. We had a lovely relaxing stay and plan on returning.

Spectacular hosts with the most! Scott and Emma are very attentive and responsive to all your needs. With excellent local knowledge and amazingly comfortable, tastefully decorated, much attention to detail, spotless accomodation, and a fantastic breakfast, don't hesitate to book The Carrick.

Amazing experience. Arrived tired with Welsh friends..glasses of wine..beers..all complimentary. So welcoming and helpful. Great hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble for Scott. Rooms were stunning..all the little touches, bathrobes and slippers. Great breakfast. Loved it and definitely be back. Home from home
