About Portrush Atlantic Hotel

Sixty-nine rooms make up the Portrush Atlantic Hotel, set right on Main Street in the seaside town of Portrush, County Antrim, with some rooms looking out over the Atlantic. It's a straightforward, low-key base rather than a grand affair, with en-suite bathrooms, in-room drinks and a lift for easier access to all floors.

Guests get breakfast, a restaurant and a bar on site, along with free Wi-Fi throughout. Practical extras include luggage storage, a laundry service, concierge help and business facilities with meeting rooms, useful for those combining work with a stay by the coast. Free on-site parking is also included, which makes arriving by car straightforward.

Outside the hotel, Portrush offers walking and cycling routes, watersports, fishing and golf nearby, plus a scattering of pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach. Ulster University's Coleraine Campus lies close by too, making the hotel a convenient stop for visiting families or academic travellers alike.

Summer Strate

Convenient location in town, helpful staff, but room was a bit dated. Incredible shower pressure! Very quiet street, decent breakfast buffet options. They asked for a time we were going to breakfast, saying it didn’t really matter and then the hostess at breakfast made a comment that our time slot had passed, when we went down later? Thought that was odd.

We recently stayed here on a school trip with 40 children, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The hotel was very clean and well organised, the staff were incredibly polite and helpful throughout our stay, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The children really enjoyed their time here and felt very welcome. The breakfast was great every morning with plenty of options for everyone. Managing such a large group is not easy, but the staff handled everything professionally and with a smile. A huge thank you to the whole team for making our trip so enjoyable — we truly appreciate all your hard work and kindness. Highly recommended! Thomas Tallis London

5 stars from start to finish! We recently stayed at Portrush Atlantic as a large school group after being moved to the hotel at the last minute, and I honestly couldn’t praise the staff highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everyone went above and beyond to make sure both staff and students were looked after. Jason was particularly accommodating and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, but every member of staff — catering, restaurant, front of house, housekeeping — was absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made what could have been a stressful situation run smoothly and professionally. The rooms were spotless, cleaned daily, and equipped with tea, coffee, and all the amenities we needed. The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly suited to our group. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend Portrush Atlantic to anyone, especially school or large group bookings. Thank you again to the whole team for such outstanding hospitality.

Although I loved the stay from start to finish, I feel like the pricing is a little too much. Sea views are great, but obviously you get better ones if you stay in a pricier room. Overall a comfortable, relaxing experience.
