What visitors say
Visited here with my children on a Friday afternoon. Bought a drink and the children paid to play games of pool. I needed to work remotely so plugged in my laptop & phone to charge. After about 30 mins a member of staff said I needed to unplug as it cost them to much money!!?? I thought we were in 2026 where it’s standard to plug in and work as long as you are spending money, I do this all the time in coffee shops & hotels etc. It seemed rather hypocritical, especially as they had old-fashioned non-energy efficient lighting on and gaming machines plugged in that were not being used! I was spending money there in order to use the facilities, the place was virtually empty so you would have thought they’d be grateful for customers, but as a result of not being allowed to charge I was unable to work so we stopped spending money and left! Would recommend you avoid, and we will not be visiting again.

We came here whilst on a 4 night break staying at the sandymouth resort , any I had to leave a review to say please ignore any negative reviews! We have 2 sons 6 and 2 whom are both autistic.. & they both had the best time the eldest enjoyed soft play and bowling and the youngest just the soft play. Staff were both welcoming and pleasant. The price to get in was phenomenal compared to where we live in Hertfordshire! It was basically the same price for the whole family compared to one child back home!! Crazy Food was really good too! Everything was clean ! Look yes it could do an upgrade but value for money was amazing would return in a heart beat Any one complaining is just a snob ☺️☺️

Visited yesterday while on holiday with my wife, sister, and brother-in-law. And let me tell you, this place is a gem for anyone who enjoys rolling balls, cider, and not sharing other people’s warts. First off, the bowling: only six lanes, so it’s intimate rather than industrial. Perfect if you enjoy knowing your competition up close and personal — and if your competitive streak is strong, you’ll get to stare daggers at anyone who dares knock down a pin before you do. The best bit? No shoe requirement. Finally, a bowling alley that understands some of us prefer to keep our own feet free from mysterious infections. Freedom for your toes, freedom for your soul. The food was solid — reasonably priced, good quality, nothing Michelin-starry but perfectly adequate to fuel your epic lane battles. And yes, they have Hawkstone cider on tap, which improves gutter balls immeasurably. It’s more than just bowling: there’s a large penny arcade, pool tables, and other distractions if your skills on the lanes aren’t quite top-tier. You could spend the whole afternoon just flitting between games and still feel like a champion. Small caveat: the venue closes at 7pm most days, so if you’re planning to dominate the pins, book early. Otherwise, you risk a tragic, half-finished evening of competitive despair. All in all: a friendly, quirky, small-scale venue with great cider, decent food, and a nostalgic feel. Perfect for families, casual players, or anyone who enjoys slightly chaotic but fun afternoons. Verdict: 8/10. Intimate, charming, and just the right balance of chaos, cider, and arcade fun.

came here with my boyfriend whilst we are on holiday to play bowling. we noticed when throwing each bowling ball, the balls we’re drifting at the bottom of the alley. we came to the conclusion that the balls are that damaged… they just float into their own direction and you can even hear them banging at the bottom of the alley. the place definitely needs a refurb
