Avon Lodge

Avon Lodge works well for couples, small families, or friends seeking a private base in rural Powys. The detached lodge sits on an adult-only caravan park set across seven acres of countryside between Bishops Castle and Welshpool, with scope to meet other guests or stay entirely to yourself. A double bedroom and single bedroom give flexible sleeping arrangements, served by one shower room. The ground-floor layout—no stairs inside—groups the kitchen, dining area and living space in an open plan, with French doors onto a decked area furnished for outside use.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge-freezer. A smart TV, electric fire and Wi-Fi are provided. Essentials like bed linen, towels and heating are included. One car can park on site. The lodge is set back slightly from the shared grounds, which contain views towards Shropshire's rolling terrain. Churchstoke Shopping Centre, roughly two miles away, has a supermarket, butchers, post office and petrol station. Note that no smoking is permitted, and children under 18 are not allowed.
